Description
About The Book

"By cultivating and order in your life, bhakti develops. The effort in bhakti is to be alert and aware of your character and behaviour, and develop excellence in thought, felling and action by nuturing the sattwic, creative, positive nature. Bhakti will be realized when the attempt is mode to eradicate the negativity cunning and deception from your life and your mind. If your mind and emotions can be fine- tuned, then there is no need to sit with your eyes closed in front of a statue of God. If you can make your mind and heart sensitive and connect them to the positive, uplifting, creative qualities and traits, then that is bhakti."

On the occasion of Guru Poornima in 2009, Swami Niranjanananda gave a series of satsangs from 4th to 6th July, on the theme of bhakti. In his discourses, Swamiji presented the classical definitions as well as practical sadhnas to follow this path of spiritual progress. The satsangs reach right into the heart of the aspirant and make him see the world from a new perspective, full of softness and contentment. The book is an invaluable gift for all those who have had a glimpse of bhakti, the way of channelling emotions and positive living.

About The Author
Swami Niranjanannda was born in Rajnandagaon (Chhatisgarh) in 1960. Guided from the birth by his guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, he came at the age of four to live with him at the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger where he received training in yogic and spiritiual sciences through yoga nidra. In 1971 he was initiated into Dashnami Sannyasa, and thereafter for eleven years he lived overseas, mastering skills in varied areas, acquiring an understanding of different cultures and helping establish Satyananda Yoga ashrams and centers in Europe, Australia, North and South America.

At the behest of his guru, he returned to India in 1983 to guide the activities of Bihar School of Yoga, Sivananda Math and the Yoga Reasearch Foundation at Ganga Darshan. In 1990 he was initiated as a paramahasmsa sannyasin and in 1995 anointed spiritual precepter preceptor in succession to Swami Satyananda Saraswati. He established Bihar Yoga Bharti, the first university of yoga, in 1994 and the Yoga Publications Trust in 2000 in Munger. He also initiated a children's Yoga movement Bal Yoga Mitra Mandal, in 1995. In addition to steering the activities at Munger, he travelled extensively to guide seekeres around the world till 2009, when he received the command to embark on a new phase of sannyasa life.

Author of many classic books on yoga, tantra and the Upanishads, Swami Niranjan is magnetic source of wicsdom on all aspects of yogic philosophy, practice and lifestyle. He ably combines tradition with modernity as he contunues to nurture and spread his guru's mission from his base at Munger.

I really LOVE you! Wonderful selections, prices and service. Thank you!
Tina, USA
This is to inform you that the shipment of my order has arrived in perfect condition. The actual shipment took only less than two weeks, which is quite good seen the circumstances. I waited with my response until now since the Buddha statue was a present that I handed over just recently. The Medicine Buddha was meant for a lady who is active in the healing business and the statue was just the right thing for her. I downloaded the respective mantras and chants so that she can work with the benefits of the spiritual meanings of the statue and the mantras. She is really delighted and immediately fell in love with the beautiful statue. I am most grateful to you for having provided this wonderful work of art. We both have a strong relationship with Buddhism and know to appreciate the valuable spiritual power of this way of thinking. So thank you very much again and I am sure that I will come back again.
