"Divisional Charts" is an excellent subject, unknown to western Astrologers. Maharshi Parasara and other ancient Hindu astrological writers gave most useful hints on this subject in their various valuable books. However no effort is made till to - date to expose this subject in its full shape in a single book form. Even such trials attemted by one or two writers previously were rather of incomplete nature. The author takes up the previllage of fulfilling this shortage.
The present work is a unique work on Hindu astrology dealing with Divisional Charts and Varga clasiffication with Tables. The tables are nicely arranged so that all the 20 divisions can be had at a glance for any location in the Zodiac covering from 0° Aries to 30° Pisces. In addition, horoscopes of 20 famous people are analysed in support of the sutras for divisional charts laid in ancient astrological works. About 1000 significations of the nine planets and the twelve bhavas (houses) are also included in this work for the benefit of the readers.
Astrology is a DIVINE SCIENCE. All events can be predicted with the help of relavent charts and other details. The basic chart used is the Rasi chart. Matters relating to co-borns, progeny, spouse and parents can be studied with the help of the Rasi Chart with Drekkana (D-3), Saptamsa (D-7), Navamsa (D-9) and Dvadasamsa (D-12) respectively. In addition other issues can also be studied with the help of other relavent divisional charts.
Basic details such as Stars, Planets, Lagna along the Varga classification and good Vargas etc are discussed in Chapter - 1. Each division is defined and the procedure to calculate the respective division is explained in Chapeter - 2. Nadiamsa is exclusively dealt in Chapter - 3. About 1000 significations of the 9 planets and the 12 Bhavas (Houses) are furnished in Chapter - 4. Vimsopaka strength calculations are furnished in Chapter - 5. Tables for divisional Charts are furnished in Chapter - 6, while procedure to study the tables is detailed in Chapter - 7. Some hints for analysation of divisional charts are furnished in chapter 8. Finally in Chapter 9, each divisional chart is analysed duly taking one example of a native. Horoscopes of some famous people are considered to generate interest in the minds of the readers. The birth details of the natives in the examples of divisional charts are collected from the standard astrolosical books and Journals. However the same are again recaluclated with due rectification of birth time along local timings for sun rise, sun set and sidereal time etc. Birth time rectification is done based on the principles laid down in "Uttarakalamrita" of Kalidasa and also as per the Navamsa - Dvadasamsa procedure.
