Prof. Dr. Johannes Bronkhorst, one of the leading Indologists of today, is known for his substantial contribution to Paninian Studies. In the Present lecture series Prop. Bronkhorst has shown how the derivations as conceived as conceived of in the Mahabhasya of Patanja consist of a number of distinct stages " in each of which an operation takes place that is exclusively determined by the elements at that moment in place". He further tries to show that Patanjali does so under the influence of the Sarvastivada school of the Buddhists. I Strongly believe paninian scholars will find these lectures very interesting.
