It is common knowledge that the contributions made in the field of Buddhist studies in the past by Russian scholars, like Fyodor Stcherbatsky and Sergei Oldenburg, received due recognition among Orientalist all over the world. But has anything more been done in Russia since the first decades of this century? The answer could be found in this book which introduces some of the Russian scholars presently engaged in research on the history of Indian philosophy. This book comprises articles and chapters collected from monographs published in Russia during the last ten years.
