The twenty seven biographical sketches of Indian Saints and mystics by Pravrajika Shuddhatmaprana beginning with Nivrtti, Jnanadeva, Sopana and Muktabai and ending with Mirabai were originally published in the bulletin of the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture during the period 2001-06. It is a well written as well as a well researched book. On their first appearance the sketches attracted notices. They are published in a separate volume to satisfy popular demand. It is hoped that this book will now be a source of inspiration to a larger circle of readers.
