Description
Foreword

The Sage Kapila is said to be one of the Twenty Four incarnations of Lord Mahavishnu. He is the founder of the Sankhya System of Philosophy which is one of the six systems of Indian Philosophy. Our ancient sacred literature contains large number of books having the name of Gita attached to them. Of all the Gitas available today, as we all know the most important one is Srimad Bhagavadgita and the other Gitas have also gained much importance. The essence of various branches of spiritual knowledge is given in these books named after Gita. The present book, the Kapila Gita forms a part of the Santhiparva in the Mahabharatha. It is in the form of conversation between the Sage Kapila and Syumarasmi. Here, in this Gita, Kapila Maharshi stresses the importance of Self-knowledge which is the only way to attain liberation. He also underlines the various values of Dharmas pertaining to different Ashramas taught in the Vedas. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has always been in the forefront to publish like this kind of literature on Sanatana Dharma in various languages, particularly recognizing that the books published in English will have wide publicity and readership. The Kapila Gita now being published contains informative introduction and English translation of the text written by Sri D. Sathyanarayana, who is well-versed in English language and Sanskrit as well. A brief Sanskrit commentary authored by Nilakantha is also included in this book which is note-worthy. We express our gratitude to Sri D. Satyanarayana who prepared and presented this valuable book to TTD for publication. The information given here about Sage Kapila and also large number of other Gitas with brief note is highly commendable and no doubt that those who read this divine book get blessed by the Lord of the Seven Hills. **Contents and Sample Pages**

Thank you very much for the Shri Yantra with Navaratna which has arrived here safely. I noticed that you seem to have had some difficulty in posting it so thank you...Posting anything these days is difficult because the ordinary postal services are either closed or functioning weakly.   I wish the best to Exotic India which is an excellent company...
