Description
Back of the Book

In a multilingual state like India emotional integration which is the very foundation of stable democracy is possible only by learning regional languages. Knowing a language is knowing the people of the language group because a language is more than a medium of communication. Languages organize thoughts colors thinking and reflect historical forces shaping the social and moral values. Tamil is an ancient language belonging the agglutinative group of languages. It was a well developed language even before the second century B.C and even to this day it retains its charm.

The Tamil language is a treasure island where the gems of literary works shine brightly. The author of Readwell’s Learn Tamil in a month gives you wings to fly to that island. He has by keeping in view the difficulties that the beginner may face in learning a phonetic language through an unphonetic language taken special care to expose an accurate pronunciation of today’s Tamil. Knowledge of an additional Indian language reinforces the national spirit and smoothens the path of integration. Knowing the language is knowing the people. The study of language other than one’s mother tongue helps plant the seed of love and concern for one another. People belonging to different language groups are enabled to come closer with differences narrowed down and general outlook broadened. Hence the key to open the door of India’s glorious cultural affinity and to dissolve all the water tight compartments for greater understanding and appreciation of one another’s feelings and emotions is language learning.

Namaskar. I am writing to thank Exotic India Arts for shipping the books I had ordered in the past few months. As I had mentioned earlier, I was eagerly awaiting the 'Braj Sahityik Kosh' (3 volumes). I am happy to say that all the three volumes of it eventually arrived a couple of days ago in good condition. The delay is understandable in view of the COVID19 conditions and I want to thank you for procuring the books despite challenges. My best wishes for wellness for everyone in India,
Prof Madhulika, USA
