At some stage it looked as though this feature would have be to stopped for want of material for I was not able to lay my hands on the same. Sri A. R. Natarajan urged me to continue the 'Leaves' as it was "a valuable treasure useful for generations to come". I prayed before the shrine of Bhagavan, at Sri Ramanasramam. Intuitively I could feel his blessings. I made an intense search and traced the remaining material, which I had thought had been lost. Since then the work has been flowing smoothly.

For me this work has been a great boon. While on this job Bhagavan's compellingly beautiful face was before my mind's eye and his sweet worlds were constantly ringing in my ears.

Sri A. R. Natarajan deserves credit, in no small measure, for having proved me with an original idea and enthused me very much in carrying it out practically. I am grateful to him and also to the revered writer and devotee, Kumari Sarada, editor, 'The Ramana Way'. I am also grateful to readers who had read the 'Leaves' and conveyed their appreciation often.

My reverence of Bhagavan has always been governed by a certain sense of awe as well as a continuous remembrance of his greatness. In this spirit and without claiming any credit whatever personally, this is laid as a humble offering at the lotus feet of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Happiness is natural. It is independent of circumstances and situations in life. One can discover this for oneself. For this all that one has to do is to remove the obstructions to the perception of truth. This is the core of Sri Ramana Maharshi's teachings. He has also given the means, an infallible means, self-enquiry, for becoming aware of and abiding in this state of natural happiness.

Practically every single world of the Maharshi's spiritual ministration had been preserved for posterity except for the period from 1940 to 1944, during which apparently no record was kept. The talks recorded in this book, now available to us, cover this crucial period, thereby bridging the vital gap. One finds nearly the whole range of spiritual doubts covered in the questions asked by seekers and the answers given by the Maharshi.

Sri N. N. Rajan is second to none in his passionate devotion to the Maharshi. He would grasp every possible opportunity and rush to the presence of the Maharshi. Thanks to his sense of history, his desire to preserve for coming generations the ambrosial words of Sri Ramana, we now have this treasure, 'More talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi'.
