When I started my first compilation of Bhagavan Ramana's words, "Karma Marga in Bhagavan Ramana's Own Words". I did not have any idea that I would be compiling so many of His words on different subjects. It has grown by itself by His grace. This is the sixth compilation of mine. It gives me great joy at being able to serve Sri Ramana in this way. My own sadhana is also much better, thanks to these compilations.
I am thankful to Sri A.R. Natarajan, President, Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning, for his constant encouragement and support.
The Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning has been publishing from time to time, pocket books covering sayings and quotations regarding different aspects of the direct path to Self-knowledge, which Ramana has revealed. Self-enquiry for Self- knowledge is the way. The basic 'sruthi' in all these quotations is that Sri Ramana takes one back again and again to that core truth, that the dissipation of the mind through thoughts is the de-energising factor in our lives. If one succeeds in nipping the starting of thoughts at the very outset by being vigilant and attentive to their birth, the mind will be integral and ready to search for its source, which is the fullness of consciousness. It is like a river merging in the ocean. Then the full potential of the mind would be available to one as when needed.
