Mahabharata, Ramayana and Bhagavata have influenced Indian thought and culture for several millenia. The lessons delivered from the events and the characters described in this trinity still guide the conduct and the behaviour of our country men and women.
The philosophical and theological import of these great works are brought out by a series of commentaries Sri Madhvacharya has also written a brief commentary viz., Bhagavatatatparya nirnaya explaining the crucial philosophical and theological terms.
The glory of Visnu and His incarnations form the central theme of Bhagavata. All major incarnations of Visnu and the episodoes relating to major Bhaktas of Visnu viz. Pralhada, Dhruva etc. are dealt with. Two important theological concepts viz., Bhakti and Vairagya are described through many episodes and events. Suddha Bhagavata dharma is the central messages.
Based on commentaries of Srimadvijayadhwaja tirtha, Sri Satyadharmatirtha, Sri Yadavarya, Sri Srinivasatirtha, we have prepared the main text of Bhagavata. Dvaita Vedanta Foundation has decided to produce these texts.
Dr. Krishnacharya Upadhyaya has edited this volume. Hope Research Scholars and Students utilise this.
