Navkar Mahamantra

Welcome to the world of Navkar – the world of immeasurable bliss, joy and pure truth.

Navkar Mahamantra is one of the earliest mantras known to man. It is the invocation to the Supreme Being recommended by the Dharma of the Jains, one of the oldest known religious denominations of the world. There is no author attributed to this Mahamantra, but references to it are found in ‘The Bhagwati Sutra, the sacred book of the Jains.

Salutations offered through this Mahamantra are supposed to provide the reciter with great spiritual and material success, remove evil and negative tendencies of the mind, destroy various aspects of misery and give divine peace of mind while removing any obstacles that may come in the way of the individual’s spiritual and material growth. Thus the Mahamantra is attributed with powerful healing and curative properties.

This secular Mahamantra is free from any sectarian bias for it does not incorporate any salutation to any Personal Being. Salutations are offered to the quality of purity, which has been attained by innumerable evolved souls in the course of timeless existence. It pays obeisance to the Arihantas, the liberated beings, the Siddha Purushas, who have attained to various supernatural states as well as the Acharyas, the Upadhyayas and the Saints who bring forth the wisdom of religious tenets into the world. Obeisance offered in the above form has the power to destroy all the sinful qualities of the human mind.

Considered the sacredest amongst the sacred, this Mahamantra can take man to the pinnacles of spirituality and holiness.
