She is wearing a solid white lehenga with thick gold-bordered choli and dupatta. The low neckline of the gold-sleeved choli reveals her soft, youthful decolletage, so she has layered studded gold necklaces over it. Long, dangling jhumke and a statement maangtika complete her shringar. The most beauteous aspects of her tastefully made up face - green eye-shadow, fawn-coloured lipstick - are those large eyes and the full cheeks.
She is in a spacious poojana-kaksha, which is probably the family altar of her new sasuraala. Where the artist has captured her is her favourite corner because therein resides her Lord Shiva in the larger-than-life murti in the background. A number of minor deities grace His aureole, and Devi Parvati is seated in lalitasana nearby (to the right of the background). The rock-cut sculptures are as gorgeous as the lady who has lit the lamp before them.
