Central to the ritualistic tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, this prayer wheel has been put together using silver, wooden, and stone work. Usually, a cylindrical wheel on a spindle, its rotation is set to generate particular spiritual meters. This Mani chos Khor is often said to manifest the recitation of any mantra that is carved onto its central band, usually in the Tibetan script. An aid for spiritual visualization, these wheels have their origin in the Shakyamuni Sutra.
