This is Sai Baba's iconic representation. His long, worn off robe, the scarf tied on his head, his posture - sitting with one leg across the other is how he is depicted in pictures. Stories revolving around his life, his teachings are many but this icon is constant. Shown here seated on rocks, with one foot resting on the same, this depicts the hardships Baba went through during his lifetime. The expression on his face, the gentleness in his eyes speaks of the compassion he had for human beings. He led a simple life, wanting no luxuries for himself. His genteel personality attracted all.
Baba was like the flower that blooms to benefit the rest. He healed people's diseases and provided moral and material comfort to them. Sai Baba of Shirdi is in all respects, the essence and embodiment of spiritual enlightenment and religious harmony. He awakened people to the eternal truth and united all communities.
This picture of Baba evokes the humane emotions in heart of the viewer and compels him to bow his head in respect to this great harbinger of peace and harmony.
