Superfine Bhagawan Krishna with Swaying Necklace of Flowers

A dreamy Krishna figure, fashioned from pure brass. Tall and lithe, His stance is of the tribhanga murari, which means that the body is jutting out (‘bhanga’) at three (‘tri’) different junctures - the shoulders, the hips, and the feet - and that He holds a flute (‘murari’). It makes for a distinctive, highly characteristic silhouette. Birthed by Devaki-Vasudeva, the son of Nanda-Yashoda is the most charming and beloved of the Vishnu-avataras.

Poised upon a compact, ornately engraved pedestal, this Lord Krishna figure is laden with ample shringar. Anklets on His lotus-like feet. A richly embroidered dhoti of silk that accentuates the slender musculature of His limbs, held an inch below the navel by a girdle of layered gold. The handsomely sculpted torso clothed in streams of bejewelled necklaces and a garland of fresh marigolds swaying down the midline of His frame. Statement amulets and bangles and chunky wristlets down the length of His curvaceous arms. Finally, a haloed crown carved with the finest proportion of symmetry and detail.

Each aspect of this standing Lord Krishna sculpture has been executed with a great deal of skill and shraddha (roughly translated to devotion).
