A lot of John Samuel's writings on social justice and human rights concerns have been published in books, such as "Dalits and the Democratic Revolution," "Subaltern Movements in India," and "Adivasis and the Culture of Resistance." He has won numerous honours for his efforts, including the Paulos Mar Gregorios Award for Contribution to Ecumenism and the Jamnalal Bajaj Award for Promoting Gandhian Values Outside of India.
