The present work is a brief life history of Sri Satchidanandendra Saraswathi Swamiji and his main contributions to Advaita Vedanta. With a short introduction about the main principles of Advaita in the first chapter, the author projects the life of Swamiji from eight angles in the second chapter. The third chapter substantiates that the translation of works of Swamiji are not just verbatim transliteration, but scholarly presentations. The research orientation of Swamiji is well brought out in the next chapter considering his independent works. The last chapter deals with the contribution of Swamiji which he had established.

Then this work providers an ariel view to the volunminous contribution of Swamiji. Hope this kindles the interest of the readers for further deep study of all of his works.

Dr. S. Hemalatha has a post graduate degree in physics and has worked as a selection grade lectures in pre-university college for 35 years. She continued her studies in sanskrit completing masters degree and also Ph.D from Bangalore University. The present work is her Ph.D Thesis

Dr. S. Hemalatha has also completed Vidwat examinations in Alankara and Advaita, Ratna in Kannada and Hindi, Parina in Gamaka.

She is the recipient of many honors from State Teacher's, Association Rotary Club, Murugharajendra Math, Inner wheel club, India book house etc., She has presented research papers in ISRO, Bharatiya. Vidya Bhavan, Dharawad University, Dwaita Research Foundation etc.,

She has published 4 poem collections, 5 science books. I collection of plays, 8 philosophic works and worked as a co-author in another six book. More than 1000 articles, poems and stories appeared in more than 40 periodicals. She is giving regular discourses in many institutions on Shankaraadwaitha. She is also the honorary editor of Adhyatma Prakasha
