The Teacher fails, not the Student
For he is unable to convey the knowledge to the heart.
The role of a teacher and his writings both, are important for a student so that he attains knowledge.
A book is a small replica of the vast expanse of a teacher's experience. It is that fountain which flows continuously, tiredlessly to impart the esence of knowledge for generations to come. Books of knowledge are imperishable source of learning and make their writers immortal.
Acupressure is a simple therapy for treatment and Ayurveda teaches the art of healthy and purposeful living.
The creator has created a Self-treating system in human body. It corrects imbalances and relieves disease. Should there by any imbalances at all? So it gives solutions in 'mantras' People call this therapy as Acupressure. And we call this eternal knowledge, Life force of treatment. What life should we lead ? How should we live ? How to live in this world ? And how to leave this world ? And how to achieve a full purposeful span of 100 years ? Ayurveda formulae teach us all these and much more. It is feasible to achieve health, happiness & bliss through the confluence of Acupressure and Ayurveda.
The author of this book, Shri J. P. Agarwal is the Director of the Acupressure Research, Training and Treatment Sansthan, Allahabad. With his sustained knowledge, teaching, research and treatment, Sri Agarwal has established the Ten-Origin concept in Ayurveda. According to ayurveda, a human being is composed of ten elements : Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Ether, Time, Direction, Mind, Soul, Darkness. The first five (the well known five elements on which Acupressure is based) are physical while the later five are metaphysical. And it is feasible to treat metaphysical elements with the aid of physical elements and vice-versa.
With the Ten-Origin concept in Acupressure, simple and incurable diseases are being surprisingly cured.
The author tells us that the human body and its organs can be successfully treated on principles of correspondence. Sri J. P. Agarwal has taken Acupressure treatment to new heights using the Ayurvedic correspondence system. The co-authors Sri M. B. Tripathi, Km. Parul Agarwal & Sri A. K. Dwivedi have helped Sri J. P. Agarwal in establishing themselves as successful partners.
I give my heartiest compliments to Sri J. P. Agarwal, Sri M. B. Tripathi, Km. Parul Agarwal & Sri A. K. Dwivedi for successful writing of this book in English language for the benefit of therapists and students of Ayurveda & Acupressusre.
My Dear Reader, There was constant demand for non Hindi speaking states as well as from abroad to bring about books in English on the subject. This book is English translation of Agnivesh Ayurvedic Acupressure written in Hindi with required modifications. There is rising popularity of Ayurvedic Acupressure. the edifice of which has been raised on the vision of Ayurveda. This has been done for the first time in the country. Practise of Ayurvedic Acupressure and results made the marked difference with in all the branches of Acupressure. Simplicity and effectiveness of this type of Acupressure has drawn attention of more and more people. Constant demand of the public is the outcome in the form of this book.
Creation of Ayurveda itself came out after the prayer by the Rishis made to creater of world Lord Brahmha to encounter the dreaded diseases of the present time kaliyug which has dominant bearing on all that is existing in this world. Sant Tulsi Das has correctly forewarned in Ram Charit Manas the manifestations of a variety of mental diseases which are off shoots of Kaliyug and these can only be encountered with divine power which clearly reflects in Ayurveda, a collection of divine orations. Acupressure developed on the vision of Ayurveda has divine potency which is working behind the curtain. Such type of system is the need of the day and of all places on the Globe. Language is medium and vehicle of thoughts. To universalize the potent system, English translation is here. In future if Almighty permits, it may come out in many more languages so that it may reach to all and everywhere.
Ayurvedic Acupressure is there on this earth only because deep inspirations of Mr. M. P. Khema, Divine President of Sansthan and it is based on similar pattern of origin of Ayurveda itself i.e. creation of Ayurveda by Lord Brahma who intended to encounter the dreaded diseases which are beyond perception of human brain.
My heartiest gratitude towards my childhood friend Er. Jaipal Das, now the gen. sec. of Sansthan, for his continuous support and inspiration. Humble thanks to the team of publications leaded by Sri M. K. Middha and Sri K. C. Goel & Manish Goel for printing these valuable books in amazing formats.
All Tulyarthta/correspondence at one place, initiated the reorganisation and combination of Agnivesh and Bhardwaj, which will prove better and fruitful to the therapists. A completly revised edition in new format.
