The book is most interesting as a record of the history of the author's thoughts developing over a period of exactly two decades from the early sixties to the early eighties. It shows the early inclination of the author to understand and interpret human nature and behaviour as a unity, unity of the physical and the mental, of the creative and the evaluative, of free and conditioned forces. It contains essay on issues like art and morality, education through art and through family: juvenile delinquency, rape etc.
