Now that you have embraced the comfort of sad- ness with The Art of Grieving', it's about time to not hold on to the melancholy for too long and knowing when to let go.
The Art of Letting Go' is a collection of poems- all about making peace with loss, accepting the absence and moving on. It's for the seekers searching for a new home, for the wanderers leaving their old homes, for the lovers creating a home wherever they are. Sometimes you hold on to what is left, sometimes you just let go to start afresh.
I may have written only a handful of prose in a year's time but I have hummed too many poems to myself while I walk, while I travel and sometimes, when I sit down to write.
The first collection of my poems, "The Art of Grieving" was published in the form of an e-book a year back. The immediate response from friends and family made me not give up on publishing my work for the masses.
I deeply thank all my readers for keeping the spark in me alive. Oh! What am I going to do with my life if not write?
My sincere thanks to Rafaa Dalvi for being the one to awaken me last winter to publish my first book of poetry.
My heartfelt thanks to my father, Tilak Prasad Baruah who himself published his work of satirical fiction this year and became a source of inspiration to publish this book.
I am forever indebted to my constant pillars of support and guidance- Bandana Devi (mother) and Rithika Baruah (elder sister).
I hope this book receives enough love and power to make lives better just the way it has made mine.
