This work, written by late Prof. Shankar Bhat of Vidyapeeth, deals with the topic 'Kalidasa and Nature', a subject of perennial interest for researches. The book has four chapters, dealing with different aspects of nature described in the works of Kalidasa. The first chapter discusses in brief, the treatment of nature in the works of Kalidasa. The second chapter deals with different aspects of nature, such as earth, sky, clouds, sun, moon, sea, seasons, river etc. along with references to the works, where they are mentioned. The Third chapter deals with alankaras of Kalidasa, and the fourth chapter deals with influence of Kalidasa on later writers. The appendix at the end contains the slokas referred to in the Text.
