Dr. Kalyani Umate Dagar is born in Nagpur, Maharashtra and her native place. She has passed B.A.M.S. from Govt. Ayurved College, Nagpur; M.D. (Sharir Kriya) from Shri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur and C.G.O. from M.C.I.M. (Mumbai). She have worked as House officer in Shalya-Shalakya Vibhag in Govt. Ayurved College, Nagpur and worked as Internee at Matru Seva Sangha, Nagpur Obst. & Gynae. Hospital; Medical officer in various charitable hospitals; Resident doctor at Jharc, Children Hospital, Nagpur. She is rendering her services in teaching since last 13 years. Presently she is working as Prof. & H.O.D. Kriya Sharir at Gaur Brahman Ayurved College, Rohtak (Haryana).

She has been Chair person of Syllabus Orientation of Kriya Sharir 2011, organised by M.U.HLS. & Y.M.T.A.C. & R.C. Mumbai. She has actively participated ROTP conducted by AYUSH, various National Seminars, World Ayurved Congress, National Workshop at B.H.U. Ayurved Update organized by M.U.H.S. She has presented various papers at National seminars on Teaching Methodology in Kriya Sharir, Panchakarma with respect to Kriya Sharir. Her various articles have published in ISSN approved Journals. She has rendered services as Centre Observer in M.U.H.S. examinations; Convener, examiner in Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. She is trained faculty of Medical Education Technology conducted by M.U.HLS. regional centre Pune. She qualifies certificate course in Information Technology on regular basis (MSCIT) conducted by Maharashtra Technical Board, Pune.

She is felicitated with certificate of Merit in Dancing, Acting and Catering at Govt. Ayurved College, Nagpur. She has actively participated in various N.S.S. National Integration Camp, Pre-Republic day Parade selection camp by N.S.S. Regional Centre, Bhopal organized by HRD, New Delhi.

Ayurveda is one of the most ancient system of medicine in the world & is based on a very Sound tradition of science & philosophy with unique fundamental principles such as panchamahabhuta, Trigun, Tridosha, Lok-purusha of its own. Ayurveda is essentially an experiencial science as opposed to modern medicine which is an experimental science. It is practiced globally either as a mainstream treatment or as complementary and alternative medicine form, and of course very successfully and effectively.

Being teacher of Kriya Sharir subject, thinking to serve the Ayurveda by writing a first book titled "Ayurvediya Kriya Sharir M.C.Q.s" and feeling so glad to introduce it in simple English without changing the terminology. It’s my sincere faith that this book will be helpful for Teachers for paper setting, students of B.A.M.S., M.D. entrance exam, several competitive exams and based as per syllabus approved by C.C.I.M., New Delhi.

Last but not the least thinking of globalization of Ayurveda, English is preferred to create, to boost up the confidence in us from J & K to Kanyakumari. Anxiously awaiting for your response and kindly convey your suggestions.
