By the grace of Guru I publish the rules for the observance of Brahmacharyya (continence). The Hindu religion is being awakened in the country. The people are gradually being alive to the fact that the observance of Brahmacharyya is the foundation of the three other stages of life. So in want of Brahmacharyya the other stages have become unstable and useless. There is a turbid flow of vices in the country in the name of religion. It is, however, gratifying that the attention of the most of the educated people is drawn to the matter. The youth have become very earnest about observing Brahmacharyya. But as there is no systematic body of rules available for the same many find and suffer inconvenient difficulties. Though there are one or two books relating to Brahmacharyya but they have not been suitable to the understanding and training of tender-hearted boys. We made some discussions about Brahmacharyya in our monthly "Arya-Darpan"*. On perusing them some of our subscribers and readers requested us to publish a book on the subject. It is by the encouragement received from them that we publish this treatise.
