It was Swami Vivekananda’s dream that the message of Advaita should reach every home. We all know that it is an uphill task. Modem society being materialistic, many times one begins to wonder whether there is any meaning in preaching higher values of life in the present context. Naturally, young men are the victims of this chaos. Even then, we should not lose heart. It is the responsibility of all of us to provide healthy literature to our young friends.
There is a tradition among students of Advaita philosophy. If they are not able to study the entire Brahmasutras, they have to understand the first four aphorisms. Accordingly, we are dealing with those sutras. If readers feel that ordinary men also can try to understand this great text, this author’s labour is amply rewarded.
