In many ways, Business line has grown in tandem with the process of liberalization and reform of the Indian economy.

Launched in 1994, a year after the first reform-era Budget spelt out India's enormous economic potential, the White Paper on Business filled an information gap for businesspersons and planners who needed a reliable source of news and analysis on the macro economy and policy-making as much as on the corporate world, the financial markets and entrepreneurship.

Business Line will turn 25 in January 2019. Looking back at the stories and articles of the last two-and-a-half decades is a fascinating exercise which reveals a wealth of information and insights reflecting the twists and turns of the economy.
