As in the previous catalogue, the Bhakti material predominates here too, but in a reduced proportion (i. e. from 34% in Pt. III to 25%). The works on Jyotisa and Itihasapurana occupy the second and third place, being nearly 16% and 14% respectively. Sangita, a new subject-heading having seven manuscripts, has been placed after the works on Nitisastra.
The last heading, namely the 'Miscellaneous', includes the manuscripts that could not be included in Parts 1-III due to the lack of distinct specifica- tion of their subject matter.
The number of manuscripts in the Bengali script has decreased to a great extent in this volume, hence a script-wise comparative table has not been given.
