I am overjoyed to see this book titled, "Chakras Healing and Kundalini Awakening by Yogic Techniques: Theory, Practices, and Benefits" in your hands. All the topics, I feel, are interwoven with each other; so, it was not appropriate for me to split this book in two or more parts. To the best of my knowledge, it is one of the most comprehensive books available these days, on the topics mentioned in its title. Some educational institutes can use this as a 'Reference Book' or even as a 'Textbook' for their coursework in the class or for their students. It is the firm belief of the author that this book will serve, both as a reference-source for the intellectually-oriented readers as well as an outcome-based useful book for those readers who wish to heal and balance their chakras and awaken their kundalini based on the simple guidelines given in this book. Most of the practitioners can do so on their own just by carefully reading this book or, alternatively, they can seek the guidance of a trained master or mentor.
This book consists of 20 chapters. Chapter 1 introduces, particularly for the beginners, the terms like Yoga, Naadis, Chakras, Kundalini, Pranayama, Meditation, Chakras-Healing, Kundalini Awakening and Samadhi. All these topics are discussed, in great details, in the subsequent chapters of this book. Chapter 2 describes Naadis in details. Although there are as many as 72000 or even more number of Naadis, but the three principals Naadis are: Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna. Characteristics and significance of these three Naadis are described in this chapter. Known to a large section of the people, there are seven primary chakras in the human astral body, viz. (i) Muladhara Base or Root Chakra, (ii) Svadhishthana Sacral Chakra, (iii) Manipura Solar Plexus Chakra or Navel Chakra, (iv) Anahata or Heart Chakra), (v) Vishuddha or Throat Chakra, (vi) Ajna Third Eye Chakra, or Brow Chakra or Pineal Gland), and (vii) Sahasrara or Crown Chakra). Chapter 3 describes this 'seven-chakra system'. This is followed by 7 chapters (chapters 4-10). Each of these chapters is dedicated to each one of these seven chakras. It is known to most of the mystics, saints and yogis, through their inner vision that there are more than seven chakras in the human body and these practitioners have shared their vision with the rest of us to reap the spiritual fruits. In this context, Chapter 11 describes the Nine-, Ten-, and Eleven-Chakra Systems; Chapter 12 describes the 12-, 13-, 14- and 79-Chakra Systems; and Chapter 13 describes the 108, 112, 114 and 147 Major, Minor and Micro-Chakras. Kundalini (also known as the 'serpent power') is the coiled-up, sleeping Divine Shakti that lies dormant in all the beings. It is located at the base of the spine, just below the Muladhara (or Root) chakra. Chapter 14 introduces the topic of 'Kundalini' to the readers. Pranayama is the practice of control or regulation of breath in a specific way in yoga. It is a conscious prolongation of inhalation, retention and exhalation of breath. Introduction to 'Pranayama' is covered in Chapter 15. Meditation is a technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state, a sleeping state or a dreaming state. It is a practice of focus or relaxed attention or contemplation upon a thought or a sound or an object or on visualization or on the breath, in order to increase awareness of the Self at the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth. 'Meditation' is introduced to the readers in Chapter 16. Chapter 17 describes various methods for the purification of Naadis (also called Naadi-Shodhana). Chapter 18 deals with various techniques, including the sound frequencies for the 'Chakras Healing'. This book then moves to the Chapter 19, in which various techniques for the 'Kundalini Awakening' are described. The final chapter, that is, Chapter 20, on Samadhi concludes this book.
91 illustrations and 620 Sanskrit Mantras, along with their translation in English, have been included in order to give authenticity and scholasticism to this book. A sincere effort has been made to ensure that this book appeals equally well to the students, scholars, seekers and the common people having a simple knowledge of English language and believing in the vast spiritual treasure available in our ancient scriptures.

Prof. (Dr.) Jai Paul Dudeja is the author of several books about religion and spirituality. All his books have been well received in the market and the people at large have offered very good comments. He has now come up with a new book titled "Chakras Healing and Kundalini Awakening by Yogic Techniques". Chakra Science is an ancient science which is given by a Guru to a Shishya under Guru Shishya parampara. Readers and spiritual seekers all around will be able to easily understand the role of Chakras on the body and mind and how it can be adopted in the normal course of life to feel its importance and benefits. May I appreciate Prof. Dudeja, for keeping the Hindu Sanskriti afloat by sending a message across to the people at large to know about our ancient Indian spiritual science of chakras. It may be pertinent to mention here that Dr. Jai Paul Dudeja has done a very noble work for humanity by writing this book. I am all praise for this noble task and wish him all the success in life and send my blessings.
