The title is an attempt to analyse the cultural fiestas regarding the entire cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh. In our study, we have made an effort to look at socio-cultural goals of the tribes in the perspective of Arunachal.
The primary sources of this title covers official publications of the govt of Arunachal Pradesh and govt research papers. Moreover, while preparing the title, we have interviewed quite a few persons from the different areas of Arunachal. We have also interacted with a number of senior students men and women, who had first hand information about this area.
On the other hand, secondary sources covers books, magazines, newspapers, periodicals, educational magazines, journals, etc.
This book, "Cultural Fiesta in the Island of Peace Arunachal Pradesh" by the authors G Pathak & R Gogoi is an unparalleled effort in bringing the multifaceted cultural diversities of the various ethnicities of this land, surrounded by the dawn lit mountains.
It is for the first time that the rich cultural heritage, traditions and festivals have been brought under a single canvas, and I am confident that the scholarly pioneering efforts by the authors would assist not only undergraduate, post graduate and PhD students but would also appeal to the readers who want to know more about the little known facts about Arunachal Pradesh.
I predict that in the years to come, this book would be a reference bible, for all those who endeavor to know about the cultural eddies and currents of Arunachal Pradesh My congratulations to the authors for their unalloyed efforts in bringing out this rare book.
