Journalism was the very soul of his life. His life was an example of Vidyaranny's message, namely ("Gnaninacharikumsakyam Sammyakrajyadi Loukikaha.") This book is written by Sri G. Venkatasubbiah, a senior writer and a close friend of D.V.G. Sri Venkatasubbaiah who has made a notable contribution to Kannada linguistics and literature, was the Editor-in-Chief of Kannada-Kannada Dictionary published by the Kannada Sahitya Parishat. He also has many research publications to his credit.
