This book discusses about diabetes and provides some basic facts about the nature of the illness along with its effective homeopathic treatment. Other features include

Indian diabetics have found great difficulty in getting an informative book on this subject. Although foreign books are available they do not help them much especially when it comes to select their diet. Their persistent demand had prompted me to write this booklet. The doctors may find it interesting and may especially be benefited while planning diet for their patients.
The aim of this booklet is to give the diabetic patients some basic facts about the nature of their illness. This information will enable them to co-operate with their doctor in controlling the disease and to understand why certain do’s and dont’s are important to their health.
Imparting this type of basic information to the patient should be regarded by the physicians a part of the treatment, but it is seldom done because of one or the other reason. The booklet is written to instruct the patient, that it is not only the diet or exercise alone that can control diabetes, but that he should take proper medication and timely instructions from the attending physicians so as to adequately control his disease. Although complete cure of diabetes is not often possible, yet a lot can be done to relieve the suffering of the patient and keep the disease under control. Knowledge of the disease and determination on the part of the patient to follow treatment can work wonders. The diet of the patient plays an important part to control the disease. It has been considered desirable, therefore, to include in this booklet, food charts for the vegetarian as well as the non-vegetarian (Indian diets). These charts would show that a diabetic need not be afraid of visiting a restaurant provided, he knows what to avoid and what to choose for a full balanced as well as palatable diet.
I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Harshwardhan (M.D.) for sparing his precious time to edit this booklet and for his valuable suggestions.
