Sri Aurobindo and the Mother have shown the way towards a unique and luminous future, a way to build a new man, a new society and a new world - the Supramental World.
Navajata Bhaiji dedicated his life to the realisation of this vision: He was one of their chosen instruments in spreading their message. He travelled extensively in India and around the world, giving innumerable discourses on the sadhana of the Integral Yoga. It was one grand theme: how can we make our life more perfect; what is the highest an individual can do; how can the whole world be happy; how can yoga be practised in the midst of this world, while working, talking, eating or even sleeping - at each moment of one's life; can death be conquered; can destiny be changed; how can one attain a divine life in a divine body?
Bhaiji lived this vision. He was enamoured of it. He had the great gift of making others see the same vision and fall in love with it. Listening to him, the flame of aspiration for the Divine was lit.
Very few of his discourses, unfortunately, have been preserved.
Even among these, the recording is often faulty and incomplete. We have, however, tried to bring together in this book all that could be transcribed from his recorded talks. Hence, some of the talks may appear to be incomplete or to begin or end a bit abruptly.
All these talks were given extempore. Some editing has, therefore, been necessary and, because of the nature of the subjects, there is at times some repetition. We have, however, endeavoured to keep the text as close as possible to the original recording so that the reader may get the tone and flavour of the talks.
We feel that this book could serve as a very simple guide to Integral Yoga and the way to practise it in everyday life.
This book is offered, as Bhaiji would like it to be, at the Feet of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
