The birds of beautiful plumage (Sima and Rayisah in the present context) knit in bonds of lasting friendship live on the Self same tree. One of them eats the tasteful fruits of the tree, while the other, not eating is immersed in its own glory.
Bramharsi Galava in the novel Sima is like the witnessing principle who is watching the acts of Manohara, Sandhya, Kamala, Madanika and others who go after phenomenal pleasures and ultimately come to the everlasting pleasure like the bird eating the fruit of action and ultimately coming to the witnessing principle.
In the novel Rayisah the nature of Prakrti is the real witnessing principle around which all the scientific advancements like atom bomb, nuclear missiles revolve and finally they realize that the real pleasure is in conservation of nature and not in the destruction of nature.
