Earths the title came to me one afternoon, as an endearment for Earth in a vein of deep compassion and pain at what our planet was being forced to cope with. The word seemed like a rich reliquary of love that one could experience towards the big blue sphere we call home. Eartha is a full length collection of Eco poems. The writing of Eartha started as a process of ensuring I heard my voice as a woman walking into a new phase where the Earth was being challenged and destroyed in unimaginable ways. The lives of all creatures was affected for the worse, as a result of a human-centric approach to living. In this transitional phase when our planet is neither fully healthy, nor fully extinguished. Eartha takes a micro-compassionate view of how we confront this environmental crisis. There is an effort to be intimate with nature and yet bring with it the distance of an observer through the lens of a poet.
