In view of the limitations of the translations the only alternative appear, in the first instance, to learn Arabic. This is, however, not practicable. The way out has been presented under Dr. Ahmed's well thoughtout Project, the salient features of which are:
The basic concept of education has been applied to the study of the Qur'an and frequently used words of the Qur'an have been presented.
The Terms and Representative words of the Qur'an have been identified and their meaning have been elucidated through explanatory notes.
467 selected Favorites of the Qur'an have been presented with English rendering.
This is the first step towards the understanding of the Qur'an and makes a real beginning to such an approach.

A renowned scholar and an experienced administrator, Dr. Hasanuddin Ahmed (Born 1923) is the author of several books. He has rich experience of the administration of Muslim Auqaf and is deeply involved in their development schemes.
Dr. Ahmed completed the first systematic Word Count covering the entire Urdu language in 1973 and determined the frequency of Urdu words.
These lists of words from the Quran form part of a significant project started with the aim of creating among the Muslims capability to comprehend the Quran arid to cultivate the zest for assimilation of its teachings and philosophy touching on the widest spectrum of life.
In the first part two lists of the frequently used words of the Quran were presented. Now we are happy to present the explanatory notes on the terms and the representative words of the Quran and the selected Quranic proverbs with English rendering. It is hoped that this part will be received with the same enthusiasm as the first.
The one and the only aim of the project is to make the understanding of the Quran easy for such people whose mother tongue is not Arabic.
