Poetry is a way of writing that attempts to evoke the readers' imagination and emotions. The poet conveys his views in thoughtful arrangement of words by carefully choosing the expressions. Poetry is part of art and culture. Poetry lifts the veil from the hidden beauty of the world. The poet's work reflects his emotions, the subject and his deep study. In the book Echoes of Silence the poetess tries her best to express various aspects of life, nature, human behavior and ever changing world.
Ishrat Umar is a homemaker and part time author. Since childhood her love for art and culture was groomed by her parents. She wrote books in Hindi, Urdu and English languages. A few years ago, I put my first step in literary world. My first book "Betiyan aur Rishty Hamary Aapky" was published in Hindi. My second book," The Changing Face of India" was published in the year 2019. The" ECHOES of SILENCES" is my third book of English poems. All poems depict different aspects of human nature, changing times, present situation and the beautiful nature. Writing a poetry is like painting a picture on a clean canvas with peace of mind and full concentration. Sometimes pen is mightier than the sword but we have to pen down our thoughts by keeping various factors in mind. I am following my dreams.
God is my pillar of strength from the other world but my caring husband (A retired, Para-military Officer) and my loving, caring family remained my strength. My son Syed Sultan Omar and my lovely daughter-in-law Uzma Omar helped me to put my creativity on paper. One needs peace of mind and calm environment to study, concentrate and put fine thoughts on paper. You read for yourself but while writing for others one has to be aware as you articulate different situations in black and white, with positive thoughts.
My parents belonged to highly educated background, they understood me and my siblings and molded us towards academics and sports. My own family helped me to fly. I am grateful to all of them.
