In recent times much have been said about Education of Values Both the Central Ministry of Education and NCERT have talked about it NCERT have developed syllabus for Education of values for various standards But what shall be the foundation for such education? Most of the educators think that it should be a synthesis of Eastern and Western values Such a synthesis has been provided by contemporary Indian Philosophers of education Neo Vedanta thinkers represent the ancient Indian value education alongwith its synthesis with the Western Educational Values Thus the present work shall supply the foundation for the proposed value education and spiritual education It is a must on the desk of every teacher educator as well as student.

While the matter of this book has been drawn both from primary and secondary sources, an integral multisided approach has been maintained while dealing with the subject matter The language has been kept here from technical jargon Biography of each thinker has been given in the beginning of each chapter Each chapter has been divided into central side and running, headings to make the subject clear A comprehensive bibliography has been given at the end of the book for those who wish to undertake further study on the subject.
