Dr. S.M. Sarwar Morshed was born in Nilphamari district. (People's Republic Bangladesh) His father was eminent freedom fighters of Liberation war of People's Republic of Bangladesh. 14 books and 21 research papers published in home and abroad. He completed primary education in primary training institute, secondary education in Nilphamari Govt. High School, intermediate education in Notre Dame College, Dhaka, B.S.S. (Honours), M.S.S in anthropology, Ph.D in cultural anthropology from Jahangirnagar University. He is also a coordinator of National Encyclopedia of Liberation war of Bangladesh. He awarded by Alo Avas Sahithyo Potrika by Kolkata. He is an eminent cultural personality, researcher, writer, educationalist and voyage of secular Bangladesh. His father was professor in Economics and social worker. He is a Life member of Asiatic Society of Bangladesh, Indian History Congress, Paschim Banga Itihas Shamsad, Corpus Research Institute, Kolkata, Bangladesh Itihas Porisod, Itihas Academy, Itihas Samity. He is a general member of Bangla Academy, Bangladesh.
