This book "Eminent Women in Sikh History" narrates the lives and contribution of more than 125 Sikh women. Her book "Essays in Sikh History" too has also been approved for publication. I have already published a book on the contribution of the non-Sikhs to the Sikh history. This inspired me to write a book on the role of the Sikh women as well.
In this book I have given the sketches of more than one hundred and twenty-five women. These include members of the families of the Gurus, queens and princeses, writers and artists, martyrs and leaders and philanthropist personalities. I have given their brief sketches; these are not their comprehensive biographies. To write about them in detail would need several volumes; but my purpose, here, is to introduce to my readers, the role of some eminent women of the Sikh history.
