Dr. Kanchan has completed PhD on the famous scripture "Kedarnath Singh ki Kavya Bhasha Adhyyan". Her mentor was professor Ramdev Shukla, Head of Department Gorakhpur University (now Deen Dayal Upadhyay University, Gorakhpur). With efficient guidance and unwavering sincerity, she completed her PhD in the minimum stipulated time.

She is married to Shri G N Singh Rathore who hails from Chandelwal/Varanasi. The father of G N Singh, Shri S. N. Singh, was posted in Fertilizer Corporation of India, Gorakhpur, he was also a Satsangi and connected with Ramashram Satsang.

Gorakhnath temple has had been the center of all family functions like Mundan, Engagement Ceremony and all Spiritual, Religious and Cultural Programs.

The residence of Shri G. N. Singh was located in close quarters to the Gorakhnath temple. So, visiting the temple and seeking the blessings of Baba Gorakhnath was an almost every day regime for the family members. On Tuesdays, a horde or people gather in the temple amidst the nectary, yet, an electrifying chorus of bells and holy chants. They offer flowers in the feet of Lord Bajarangbali as a gesture of respect and to be blessed by the Holy Anjani Putra.

The Gorakhnath Temple is a sanctified place, with electors of positive energy gliding across the periphery. In a particular area of the Temple, scores of Trishuls have been entrenched. These Trishuls carry a deep- rooted significance and are also known as the Wish- Fulfilling-Trishuls. People tie threads to these Trishuls with a wish in mind. And as the wish gets fulfilled, they return and unknot the thread.

This Temple is also a place where many people get a visual glimpse of Sahab Gorakhnath Baba. During the Vigilance tenure of G N Singh, Dr. Kanchan supports him well and is also keen-eyed on the polity of this country.

She is blessed with two kids; one is an MBBS student and the second one is a class 6th student. She devotes her time to agricultural work and has developed farm in the Chandauli district of UP and Haridwar of UK. She contributes to the production of black rice and organic cereals & medicinal plants.
