The Fatawa-i-Qazee Khan is one of the best collection of Fatawas of the Hanafi School of Thought. It consists of two volumes containing 500 verses from The Holy Qur'an and 290 Traditions of the Holy Prophet, relating to the subjects of marriage, dower, divorce, legitimacy and guardianship of minors. The Traditions of The Holy Prophet relating to the subjects mentioned above are taken from Mishkat ul Masabih, a work of recognised authority. These Fatawas are replete with the cases of common occurrence, generally illustrated by proofs and reasoning on which they are based. This work is of great utility to the members of Bar and Bench, particularly during the present time for it provides the solution of the growing problems regarding the Muslim Personal Law. It also contains a set of appendices bearing on a very comprehensive juristic research of the subject. It may be confidently said that there is no other work in the field which deals with the subject so exhaustively comprehensively and authoritatively as the present one.
