Forever Free is an intense dry-eyed prose new in Indo-English Literature. It is a story of an ebullient young woman who, in Raji Narashimhan's deft hands, is a loving, throbbing, passionate, exciting woman who sets out in search of freedom wide as the horizon. Married to a man she didn't love. Restless, ruthless, in quest of self-fulfilment and freedom, she clawed her way through from one lover to another, only to arrive nowhere.
‘Forever Free’ is Raji Narasimhan’s second novel and a fourth book. She has wide and intensive journalistic experience having worked as a free-lancer and staff reporter for Indian Express for several years.
In 1967 she gave up journalism for creative writing. ‘Forever Free’ was a taught test in the English Curriculum of IIT, Delhi for almost ten years.
Raji Narasimhan lives in Delhi.
