Paramahamsa Sri Swami Omkarananda founded several ashrams in both the East and the West. His talks during satsang and his thrice daily meditation speeches have been recorded and typed out. A number of these spontaneous speeches have been published since 1991 by Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, in the quarter-ly journal Vidya Prabodhini. These inspiring speeches, as well as many other spiritual booklets printed in English since the late 60ties (which are mostly out of print) have been gathered into a series of books, so that the wisdom of this towering sage may continue to inspire spiritual seekers, grant them strength and peace, and show them the way to the highest goal of life - enlightenment.
Note: In the years 1966 through 1986, Sri Swami Omkarananda spoke and lectured in English, with simultaneous translation into German. From 1986 onwards, his meditation and satsang speeches were delivered in German. Some of the German texts have been translated into English, in order to make them available to a wider public.
We have no fullness of joy in that which is limited, in that which comes to an end. God alone is unlimited and unending the is the infinite and absolute being, consciousness, presence, power, love and beauty. The greater our conscious awareness of the presence of God in our daily lives is, the more intense will be the fullness of joy that we derive. Real happiness in life is to be measured by the extent and degree, to which we have, in knowledge, in faith, in love, in awareness, established relations with God.
