This book opens a debate in neo globalized word on the prospects of Gandhian economic order. This monograph is an effort to understand the significance of Gandhian political economy. In search of new alternative economic order as scholars of economic science, we analyze the parameters of Gandhian economics in form of general critique. We not only discuss the relevancy of parameters of Gandhian economics but a normative way, try to test the Gandhian hypothesis. It is also important to note down that Gandhian political economy comprises the views of many scholars of contemporary times. In this book, we have analyzed the thought process of great political economic minds of independent India. This is a first series where we are questioning, discussing and interpreting the well-known political economic figures including Lohia, Jai Prakash, Sardar Patel, Pandit Deen Dayal and Vinoba Bhave. In next volumes, we will try to analyze the thought process of unsung Gandhian scholars and activities. We hope this book will be beneficial for scholars of domain of Gandhian studies, political economy and interrelated disciplines and as well as policy makers. Criticism, suggestions and other comments from academic fraternity, we will welcome with open hearts. In the process of editorializing the content, we are grateful to many persons.
