I am writing this little book to alert practitioners to the enormous need for this remedy at this time. I believe this remedy can be ‘missed’ and other remedies such as Carcinosinum, Arsenicum and Pulsatilla (to name just a few) can be prescribed wrongly. I would like to lock at this remedy and see just how many ways it can manifest in our modern age.
When I was at college we were taught that the typical Aurum patient would be a successful businessman with heavy responsibilities, who having reached the pinnacle of success, finds it has not made him happy. He then commits suicide, with his family unaware that there had been anything wrong. We were taught that Aurum is disciplined, joyless, controlling, unspontaneous, unemotional, rigid. This image prevents us from spotting many other Aurum cases.
