He is working as Assistant professor in Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India since last 14 years; Recently he has deputed by Ministry of External Affairs and AYUSH, Government of India to Traditional and Complementary Medicine division, Ministry of Health, Malaysia for propagation and development of Ayurveda in Malaysia. Dr. Srivastava is a famous Ayurveda physician, consulting so many patients of various diseases as expert in Kayachikitsa and Panchakarma. He has received 7 awards, published 40 research papers and have delivered more than 50 guest lectures in National and International seminars.
Dr.Anubha Srivastava Assistant Professor in Rachana Sharir, Depai ment of Rachana Sharir, Government Ayurveda P.G. College and Hospital, Chaukaghat, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi Dr. Anubha Srivastava did her BAMS from Government Ayurveda College, Sampoornanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi in 1996. She completed her Post graduation, MD (Basic Principle-Rachana sharir) from Faculty of Ayurveda, IMS, BHU in 2003. She is working on the post of Assistant Professor, Rachana Sharir, Government Ayurveda P.G. College, SSU, Varanasi; since July 2009. Dr. Anubha is a good academician, committed NSS officer, dedicated social worker and hardworking in her professional carrier. She has received 4 awards, published 14 research papers and have delivered 20 guest lectures in various seminars and conferences at National and International level.
Ayurveda is the science of life through natural resources; and was the only treatment method available in ancient days. Ayurveda is coming down to the Rishis, from verbal to written texts. Panchakarma is a unique therapeutic regimen of Ayurveda comprising of five procedures that facilitates better bioavailability of the pharmacological therapies, helps to bring about homeostasis of body humours and eliminates disease-causing toxic complexes from the body. When applied skilfully and appropriately, Panchakarma procedures are safe and effective for the prevention and management of a number of health problems. In current scenario, these unique procedures are widely practiced by physicians in India and many other countries globally for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes besides improving the quality of life. These procedures are practised throughout the country with slight difference, so to give them unambiguity, this book will be helpful.
