About the Author:
Pramesh Ratnakar, 38, teaches English Literature at Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, Delhi University. He spent his early childhood in Banaras, the very heart of Hindu India. The city exists for the author ' as much in the mind as in space'. His love for the city found expression in two books. Other publications include studies on aspects of Hinduism.
