I Gift You A Rainbow: Verses That Redeem is a good luck charm of sorts that a mother wants her child to possess. It is a collection of poems, encouraging, and a little instructive, here and there, so that the child never loses hope and faith in the face of any calamity, be it any kind. This anthology depicts the grandeur of courage a mother's heart possesses when it wishes to give Eagle-wings to her child. And child, because gender stereotypes are not what this poet believes in. Mention needs to be made that all these poems got written within the first seven months of her baby's birth.

I would like to thank my dear friend and spouse, Shalabh Kumar Sinha, an officer in the Indian Police Service, who has forever been my cheerleader and a critic I choose to count on. I also wish to thank from the bottom of my heart, Sangeetha Sudharsan(IAS) for her rock-solid love and support through and through. It is her painting that's the cover of this book, and rightfully so. A note of special thanks to my parents, Dr. Jyoti Pandey and Dr. Raj Shekhar Pandey, without whom I would just have not been the woman that I am today. A shout-out to my only sibling, Dr. Mansi Pandey, for forever nudging me to be and do my best. And to my soul-sister, Dr. Akriti Rastogi, for always believing in me more than I do. A very special thanks to my publisher Mr. Neeraj Mittal, who has been a great support. A big thanks to my uncle, BKS Ray(retired IAS officer) for encouraging me to publish my work. And last but not the least,a heartfelt gratitude for my octogenarian-Gandhian grandmother, Smt. Indrani Mishra, who continues to amaze me with her sense of decision-making and a never-ending reserve of care and compassion. Who stands to be my biggest strength till date. I bow in reverence to those who encourage each other to become better versions of themselves.
