His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the reigning Acharya of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri is the 36”’ in the line of unbroken succession of illustrious Gurus and since 1989 has been upholding the splendour and tradition of this first and foremost Peetham.

His Holiness is playing an important role in the spiritual advancement of thousands of ardent devotees and to the earnest seekers, His Holiness is not only a Guru easy to approach and honour but also an ideal to follow and an example to emulate.

He is a shining example of love and compassion and to come back renewed physically, mentally and spiritually from His Darshan is a de javu experience for each and every devotee.

To mark the 54” Vardhanti Day of His Holiness, the devotees of Sri Sharada Peetam, Sringeri, submitted at the lotus feet of His Holiness Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswami the request to bring out this book “Illuminating Interactions’ for the benefit of the earnest seekers.

This magnificent book by Sri K. Suresh Chandar is a compendium of the sort of valuable lessons the devotees learn in His Holiness’ presence, during His visits and during their interactions with Him. It contains anecdotes wherein it can be seen that used properly and systematically, critical and reflective reason can also be a great support for spiritual development and help us not only to have a vivid and direct contact with the inner realities but also realize on what sure and ordered truths of being the spiritual Reality is founded. The magnetic, majestic, compassionate and radiant presence of His Holiness can be felt throughout this book.

I am sure this book will greatly aid in elevating the mind and heart of the earnest devotees.

He whose learning is regulated by reason, whose reasoning is in consonance with the scripture and who never breaches the norms of proper conduct is called wise.” So declares Smruti. Those who are blessed with the association of His Holmess, Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the 36th pontiff of Sringeri Sri Sharada Peetham, will certainly agree with this.

His Holiness has blessed many with His timely as well as scholarly advice on various occasions. He is an adept at setting an erring mind right. An interaction with Him destroys the ignorance of an earnest seeker. It is the experience of many that the interactions with Him are indeed illuminating.

In this book, thirty such illuminating interactions that the devotees have had with this Mahatma are presented for the benefit of humanity.
