Shri V. K. Choudhry

(Propounder of the Systems’Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes)

Shri V. K. Choudhry is well known in the field of Vedic Astrology through his many books and articles. His managerial background has enabled him to use modem communicative skills in so systematic a manner that the comprehension of predictive techniques has been greatly simplified. His book, “Self Learning Course in Astrology” makes learning of the “Systems’ Approach” methodology a simple step-by-step process and has proved to be of great help to both the serious students as well as the practitioners still plagued by the confusing inconsistencies in the classical texts.

He was conferred the title of Jyotish Martund by the International Council of Astrological and Occult Studies, Hyderabad (India) in 1989; the title of Jyotish Kovid by the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), Madras, in 1991; and the title of Jyotish Bhanu by Astro Sciences Research Organization, New Delhi, in 1992. He has been a faculty member and Chapter Course Director (Astrology) with ICAS.

Shri Choudhry is the recipient of Pracharya Award (Professor of Astrology) conferred by Bharat Nirman in December, 1993, for his outstanding and excellent contributions in the field of Astrology. In 1994, his name was listed in “Indo American Who’s Who”, in recognition of his contributions for predictive accuracy in Vedic Astrology.

Shri Choudhry participated in the 10th International Seminar of Astrology and Occult Science in June 1995, at Hyderabad and delivered lectures on “Timing of Events” and “Vastu Shastra”. Shri Choudhry was conferred the title of “Master of Astrology” in this Seminar by International Council of Astrological and Occult Studies.

The Board of Directors of International Council of Alternative Medicines conferred the degree of Doctor of Alternative Medical Sciences on Shri Choudhry on 3rd of February 1996, at Bombay. The International Institute of Astrology and Occultism, New Delhi, conferred a Gold Medal and the honorary title of Jyotish Vachaspathi on Shri Choudhry in April 1996, at New Delhi.

International Foundation of Peace, Fraternity and Humanistic, Bombay, conferred the title of Dharam Yogi in 1995. International Council of Astrological Sciences, Bombay, conferred the title of Vastu Shastra Samrat in 1996, and Bhartiya Ved Jyotish Vigyan Sansthan, Modinagar (India), conferred the title of Sthapatya Ratna in 1996, on Shri Choudhry for his valuable contributions in the fields of Astrology and Vastu Shastra. Shri Choudhry participated in astrological conferences in London, Paris and U.S.A. In 2004 the first book of Shri V. K. Choudhry has been translated in Portuguese and published in Portugal. The Systems’Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes is applicable for mundane astrology predictions, as well. Shri Choudhry made many successful mundane predictions on Yahoo Groups — SAMVA, including twice predicting victory for Mr. George W. Bush as President of US and predicting natural disaster for US in August, 2005. Shri Choudhry guides students on Yahoo Group SATVA on the internet. The present membership of SATVA is around 1400.

United Cultural Convention, North Caroline, USA, sealed the nomination of Shri V. K. Choudhry for receipt of the 2002 Noble Prize for Outstanding Achievement and Contributions to Humanity. This nomination stems from extensive research on extraordinary leaders by the top officials of the United Cultural Convention.

Mr. V.K. Choudhry is Founder Chairman of the International Institute of Predictive Astrology, IIPA , Fairfield, USA. IIPA has more than 750 members spread across 40 countries. IIPA has 15 chapters.

American Biographical Institute inducted Mr. Vinod Kumar Choudhry to the Hall of Fame in July, 2009, for Distinguished accomplishments in Astrology and for dedication and efforts that have left an indelible mark on the lives of others.

Shri K. Rajesh Chaudhary

Shri K. Rajesh Chaudhary has mastered and contributed to the Systems’ Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes under the guidance of his father, Shri V. K. Choudhry. He participated in the free Consultation Clinics organized in New Delhi by Bharat Nirman, Delhi Astro Study Circle (Registered) New Delhi, conferred the honorary title of Jyotish Martund on Shri Chaudhary in 2011. He is one of the Directors and Secretary of The Systems’ Institute of Hindu Astrology, Gurgaon (India). He is Vice-President of the India Chapter of International Institute of Predictive Astrology, Fairfield, USA.

Astrology is the art of interpreting the reputed esoteric influence of stars/planets on human affairs. It is called divine science and it enables one to peep into the mysterious future. It has branches like horoscope reading, palmistry, transit, prasna, varshphala or annual chart, etc. The most accurate one is the horoscope reading, which is linked to the birth time of the individual. Here the planetary position at the birth time is noted for interpreting the results of various planetary influences.

Astrology is studied all over the world in one form or the other. There are different systems in operation. Widely read is the one given by Maharishi Parashara. There have been numerous commentators, both classical and modern and at the present juncture, the subject is being read by interested readers all over the world.

Comprehension of the astrological knowledge from the classical texts is difficult due to the numerous contradictions, inconsistencies and confusions that have crept in because of the absence of the print media and interpolations by propagators from generation to generation. Our attempt through the empirical studies over the last 25 years has been to initiate the interested readers for easy comprehension of the subject.

Astrology has applications in the matter of health through preventive diagnosis, wealth, status, family relationships, entrepreneurship, properties, intellect, marital relationship, foreign residence, foreign travel, profession, business ventures, stock markets, speculative investments and foreign investments. It helps in understanding all types of relationships including the. marital and business relationship.

The ancient knowledge of Astrology is based on the premise that the natal position of planets is dependent on the actions of previous lives of the human being. The natal position of planets gives complete picture of the life of the person concerned. The planetary influences can be favorable or unfavorable. They can be helpful or can cause obstructions. It is believed that the horoscope, which is also called the natal chart of the person, tells us whether the malefic planetary influences can be warded off or reduced. It is believed that the strength of the weak planets can be harnessed to augment their effects and to reduce the extent of miseries.

Horoscope reading is as important as having a child immunized against dreaded diseases. Horoscope reading means reading of the divine message regarding the trends in the life of a person. No science on earth other than the horoscope reading can reveal the mysteries of life. The horoscope is a record of the planetary movement noted for the time and date of birth with reference to a particular place. Our lives are threatened with dreaded diseases for which we do not have a treatment in spite of the spectacular advancement in the medical sciences. The reason is that the worldly sciences cannot control the natural phenomenon. The divine message offers remedies through astrological remedial measures.

How do Plants Influence us

The basis of astrology is Karma theory. Whatever we have to get or face in this life is based on the planetary influences arising in our horoscopes. The horoscope is map of the heavens (planets) plotted on a paper like a map in the twelve signs of zodiac placed in twelve number of houses. From this map of heavens we can read the planetary influences on human beings as also the amount of free will. The strength of Sun, Mars, Jupiter and the lord of the third house or the planets in the third house show the magnitude of free will.

Majority of astral-remedy seekers turn to the divine science for help after fruitlessly trying all other worldly remedies. It is a pity. The problems faced can be in any of the spheres of life. It can be physical, psychological, material or spiritual pursuits. We all believe in the phrase, “prevention is better than cure”. Turning to astral-remedies in the end puts us to an irretrievable loss of time and opportunity for corrective measures in the beginning. Horoscope reading at the time of birth can guide us about the weak areas and the physical diseases to which one is vulnerable. Astral- remedies are suggested, which can save one from growth of cancerous diseases, addiction to drags or other simple means of intoxication, professional setbacks, problems in relationships, etc.

The various aspects of human life are governed by the position of planets as noted down at the time of birth in the form of a horoscope. It is the weakness of planets that causes problems in life. The weakness of planets can be guarded against by use of astrological remedial measures. Identification of weak, afflicting and afflicted planets is very easy and the methodology has been explained by the authors in the book.

Intuition

Intuition, as per the dictionary, means immediate mental understanding or recognition without reasoning. In other words, it is also said to be an immediate insight. Intuition, at times, is subjective and largely depends upon the conceptual background and experience of a person in a particular field. The opinion of an expert or an experienced person in a particular field carries with it the accumulated wisdom of experience and maturity, which is difficult to be incorporated in any explicit mathematical relationship or a scientific explanation. Notwithstanding anything, it remains an estimate, which has possibility of being close to accuracy. Nobody can deny that it can as well be the other way round.

Astrology is a science of predicting events on the basis of the position of planets in a horoscope. It appears to be quite amusing if somebody says that Astrology has nothing to do with the science. We do not see any justification in making predictions on the basis of intuition alone, totally lacking the logic. When we come to the application of the knowledge of Astrology, we find that people in all strata of life, at one time or another, take help of Astrology in arriving at a decision, leaving aside the collective wisdom of all other worldly knowledge and sciences. Suppose, to plan one’s family, one seeks astrological consultation. Any person practicing as an astrologer without having full knowledge of the divine science may predict that the child of the querent is likely to have a full span of life. Based on this prediction, the querent may go in for an operation with a view to avoid conception by his wife in future. After such an operation, the child of that person may die an untimely death. It is not uncommon. In such a situation, any prediction based on intuition is harming the person in an irreparable way instead of helping him out. Will you not treat practice of Astrology simply on the basis of intuition as another form of cheating? Rather it is not only cheating but a heinous crime as somebody has been harmed permanently just for the quack astrologer’s small financial gains.

Quest forAccuracy

It is in this background and in the quest for greater accuracy that the author started analyzing cases of failure in predictions based on the prevalent classical principles. Traditionally, the unfavorable circumstances were being attributed to weak planets. But during the course of analysis, the propounder of Systems’Approach came to the conclusion that whenever the most effective point of a house containing non-mooltrikona sign of any planet was not closely afflicted, the significations of such a house did not suffer in any manner during the course of sub-period of the weak and/or afflicted lord of such a house. For example, if the sign Taurus is placed in the fourth house and the fourth house does not suffer from any close affliction by way of a conjunction/aspect of functional malefic planets, then during the period/sub-period of a weak and/or afflicted Venus, the significations of such a fourth house shall not suffer but the general significations of the planet Venus, and the significations of the ninth house will suffer in addition to the house where such a Weak/afflicted Venus is placed. Apart from delineating the house suffering most in the case of planets which rule two houses in a nativity, there were other grey areas. These were posture of planets in a particular nativity, identification of weak planets, conjunction, affliction, consideration of an aspect from the house with reference to the ascendant, the Moon, its significator and from lord of the house in question, etc. F or example, in case we want to consider the marital affairs, the classical texts and commentaries were suggesting that consideration should be made from the seventh house from (a) the ascendant, (b) the Moon, (c) Venus and (d) from the lord of the seventh house. This was confusing although explaining some of the past events quite closely.
