Life is neither a bed of roses, nor it is throne alone. Life is a struggle blends of ups and downs, sorrows and joys, success and failure, darkness and light, good and bad, honour and dishonour, gain and loss. It keeps on assessing a person's fortitude by presenting unpredictable situations without a fore warning. No one can escape from this hard reality of life.
Every one of us would like to be happy all the time, but the reality is quite different/opposite and each one has his/her share of favourable and unfavourable circumstances. And this too is a fact that different persons behave absolutely unlike each other in adverse circumstances. For one, an adverse situation might mean a bleak future while another might consider the opportunity a challenge to reshape his or her destiny.
Those who are positive and sensitive towards others' troubles are more liable to take life's challenges in their stride. Every hindrance and failure leaves a person stronger and wiser. Wise man learns from every mistake and failure. It is only while facing a difficult situation that a person comes to know of his real inner strength.
Just as wood is seasoned by giving hot and cold treatments alternatively before being used in house construction, similarly emergence of varied unpredictable conditions and circumstances makes a man stronger, more mature, determined and unshakable. A stone turns into a diamond only after undergoing a lot of cutting, carving and polishing. Hina gives colour only when it is crushed and mixed with water. Gold shines after heating. Similarly wise men with positive attitude learn from the past mistakes and start a fresh look towards situations in which they are placed.
Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness would not be so valuable in absence of troubles. It is only defeat which makes victory so enviable. Every night has a day; tough situations are forebodings of good times. It is nature's way of maintaining a balance in every man's life on this earth.
To lead a happy life is not a big or tedious task. Happiness is not something that comes to you, it is something you create. It's not what happens to you that counts; but how you react to it, that matters. By adopting a positive attitude, life becomes an adventure. The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things and by the God's grace.
There are times when in spite of our best efforts, things seem to go out of our control and we feel helpless. In such circumstances we need some one or his works and deeds to inspire us. Acharya Mahaprajna is one of them.
